WILDLIFE PRESERVATION CANADA

RECOVERY - CONSERVATION - KNOWLEDGE

Wildlife Preservation Canada saves animals on the brink of extinction. Since 1985, we've been saving critically endangered species - species whose numbers in the wild are so low that a great deal more than habitat protection is required to recover them.

We're in the trenches, every day, helping species both in Canada and abroad through hands-on interventions that are guided by scientific research and field data.

We're a lean, effective registered charity based in Guelph, Ontario, with sister organizations in the U.S. and the U.K. We were founded by the late Gerald Durrell, a prolific author and celebrated naturalist, whose extraordinary vision has not been lost on us, and we work with similar-minded organizations around the world.

Our programs include research, captive breeding, reintroduction, habitat stewardship, and public education - each a crucial part of species recovery.

A special priority is training young scientists so that we can create a network of skilled professionals to drive conservation efforts in Canada and around the world for decades to come.

Our work is funded by the generosity of individuals like you. Your tax-deductible donation helps us continue to save species at risk.
